This Privacy Policy explains how Tibbl ("Tibbl," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the app.
Tibbl is a personal reminder app for Android, developed and published under the SimplyBuild brand.
We built Tibbl to work with as little data collection as possible. Most of what you enter into Tibbl never leaves your device.
Everything you create in Tibbl — including reminder titles, notes, due dates and times, repeat/recurrence rules, alarm and snooze settings, and completion status — is stored locally on your device in Tibbl's local database.
This information is never transmitted to us or to our analytics provider.
If you use Tibbl's Export feature, the app creates a JSON backup file and saves it to a location you choose, such as your device storage or a cloud storage service. Any subsequent transfer or storage of that file is under your control, and we do not receive the file.
To understand how people use Tibbl and improve the app, Tibbl sends a limited number of events to our analytics provider, PostHog.
The events we send are limited to:
No reminder text, notes, reminder times, alarm times, recurrence rules, or contact details are included in these events.
The first time you meaningfully use Tibbl, the app generates a random identifier and stores it on your device.
This identifier is not your name, email address, Android Advertising ID, or hardware identifier. It cannot be used by us to contact you or to recognize you in another app.
The identifier is persistent for that installation, meaning events from the same installation can be associated with one another. For this reason, we describe this data as pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Tibbl generates a new identifier.
When you complete a purchase, the purchase-related analytics event may include your country based on the billing region associated with your Google Play account.
This information is used to understand which regional price tier was used. It is not obtained from your GPS location or precise device location.
Purchase restoration events and all other analytics events do not include location information.
Analytics events are processed by PostHog on infrastructure located in the United States.
PostHog acts as our data processor for these analytics services and processes the data on our behalf. For more information about how PostHog handles data, see PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Tibbl offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock additional features.
Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card, bank account, or other payment credentials.
We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and information necessary to recognize and restore your purchase. Purchase information may also be used for the limited analytics purposes described above.

Tibbl requests certain Android permissions to make reminders and alarms function reliably:
These permissions are used to provide Tibbl's reminder and alarm functionality. They are not used to collect or transmit your reminder content or other personal information to us.
We do not collect:
We do not use advertising SDKs and do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may disclose information where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request. Because Tibbl is designed to collect very little information, the amount of information available to disclose is limited.
Your reminder data is stored locally on your device for as long as the data remains in Tibbl. You can edit or delete reminders directly within the app, use the Export feature to create a backup, or remove locally stored Tibbl data by uninstalling the app.
Uninstalling Tibbl removes the reminder data stored by Tibbl on that device, subject to any backups or copies you may have created yourself.
Pseudonymous analytics events are retained for 12 months and are then deleted in accordance with our PostHog project configuration.
If you would like us to delete analytics events associated with your installation before the normal retention period, contact us at hello@tibbl.app and provide enough information to help us identify the relevant installation or approximate period of use. We will take reasonable steps to locate and delete the relevant data where possible.
Tibbl is not directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at hello@tibbl.app.
Because your reminder data remains on your device, you have direct control over that information. You can create, edit, export, or delete it within Tibbl, or remove it by uninstalling the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights concerning personal information processed by us, including rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing.
Because the information we collect is limited primarily to pseudonymous analytics data, requests concerning such data can be made by contacting us at hello@tibbl.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. If a change is material, we may also provide additional notice where appropriate.
